HOW THEY GOT THE IDEA

Both of them  were friends from their childhood.  From childhood there was always a pitch in their minds to start something new on their own.

So,  when  Anubhav  was busy for preparing UPSC in Delhi, Anand called him and approached him to start their business, but that time they had no idea. So they started roaming the streets of Indore here and there in search of a good idea. And after  realizing that ‘chai’ is the most consumed beverage after water and according to an IBEF report,  India ranks second in tea production, so  they  decided to sell chai.

HOW IT STARTED:-

They started with their first outlet in bhawarkuan, Indore where they rented a cement godown. They spent almost 3,00,000 rupees for the initial investments. They also took help from their friends for some investments in form of money or goods on credit. Even though in lacking of fund for the board, they just took a piece of wood and painted “CHAI SUTTA BAR” on it.

STRATEGIES:-

v They started giving free chai to everyone on the first day.

v    They opened first outlet near a girls hostel so that girls would attract boys at the shop.

v  They introduced different varieties of chai like – cardamom, chocolate, ginger, masala chai etc.
v CSB also introduced eatables such as sandwiches, pasta, noodles, etc.
